The Dashboard polls in the background so you don't have to refresh by hand. The dropdown at the top right of the page controls the cadence.
| Setting | When to use |
|---|---|
| 30s | During an incident or release window. Tightest cadence. |
| 1m | Default. Reasonable for routine monitoring without burning bandwidth. |
| 5m | When the Dashboard is on a big screen in the team area as ambient information. |
| Off | Snapshot mode — useful when you want to compare values before / after an action without numbers shifting under you. |
The setting is per-user, per-browser. Your colleagues' Dashboards refresh independently.
Each refresh re-fetches all six tiles. There's no incremental update — the platform doesn't push diffs to the Dashboard. Light load per refresh; safe to leave at 30s for hours.
The refresh is also paused when the browser tab is in the background (browser-level throttling). When you come back to the tab, the next refresh fires within the cadence window.
